Transformations Autumn 2020

Welcome to the Autumn edition of Transformations in these challenging times, and many thanks to the contributors who have made this edition possible in adverse circumstances. In this issue we have some excellent reviews, including TV productions, curated by Ros Howell.

Three articles, powerful in different ways, examine diverse facets of the strange times we live in and engage with through our work with clients. Dearbhaile Bradley has written a moving account of extraordinary pain…and survival. Manu Bazzano considers the urgency of creating counter-fantasies to the bleak fantasies that prevail within the status quo – in the context of Judith Butler’s ‘The Force of Non-Violence’. Ros Howell reflects on the impact of Covid on temporality, engaging with ‘the perversity of neoliberal time that insists on thundering towards the end of the world’.

Enjoy…and I hope the next issue will accompany more light at the end of the tunnel. Do please write something for Transformations if you can. Letters, poetry, articles and essays are all very welcome.
