There are a number of channels for ongoing dialogues between the steering group and the wider membership, for example, through: discussions on the forum attached to this website, via articles and questions and answers in the in-house Transformations publication, through meeting at events, and in local groups, via emails sent to the whole membership, through the evaluation form process of the annual Psychotherapy & Politics May conference, and at the AGM.
Our aspiration within the steering group is to work together as politically aware psychotherapists. For example, exploring issues of unconscious bias, power, difference and inequality as they arise between us and keeping a psychological perspective on our different ways of communicating and dynamics. The steering group communicate what they’ve been focusing upon more formally through publishing the AGM minutes in the winter edition of Transformations. When a PCSR steering group meeting is held a bullet point overview of that meeting, and the composition of the current steering group, is included in the next edition of Transformations.
